Bring the kids down to the club on Thursday nights at 7 PM for Archery instruction. In conjunction with the kid's rifle class we offer a class for the kids to participate in the growing sport of archery. Alot of the kids come to the club & participate in both on Thursdays. If they have a bow bring it down or they will be provided one at the club & given proper instruction by our Archery Commitee Staff. For more information call the club or e-mail archery@marlborofishandgame.com

MONDAY NIGHT ARCHERY LEAGUE

Monday night archery begins May 10, 2010 and will continue for 17 weeks.   In the past we have averaged 20-25 shooters a week, from beginners to experienced shooters.  There will be 15 targets per week, which will include one moving deer target and one target shot from the elevated platform and three 3D targets.  Kids 18 and under shoot for free with an adult shooter.  There will be a cash draw each week by the luck of the draw.  One high shooter and one low shooter.  High scoring team splits the cash.  Weekly cost covers a banquet at the end of 17 weeks with choice of steak or chicken dinner, drink tickets and novelty shoots for gift certificates.  Shooters 18 & under or one guest can attend the banquet for the cost of the dinner.  Hope to see you there. This year stop down and try your hand.  Practice through the year will be a great benefit come opening day of archery season when you have the advantage of knowing where your arrow is going to hit when you release it. Cost is $8 for members and $10 for non-members per week.  Starting time is 5 - 6 pm. come on down for fun and the practice.

We want to thank Jim Tucker for the many years as our Archery Chairman.  This is a tough position to fill without the help of other members.  Jim was responsible for setting up our 3D shoots and our Monday Night League.  He also had to clear brush and keep our many archery butts in good shooting condition.  Jim has stepped down as Archery Chairman and has been replaced by Jim Priest.  Jim can use all the help he can get, so if you are interested in joining the Archery Committee please get in touch with Jim at the Club. To Jim Tucker thanks again for the many years of service, and a special thanks to Jim's wife Ann who had to put up with his absence.  Welcome to Jim Priest.  Check out Jim Priest's web site at www.Huntingtrailsandtails.com.  It's a great site.
