Construction of the Outdoor Range Canopy  August 7 & 8, 14 &15, 2010

We had a terrific turnout of members to construct the new canopy over the firing line at the outdoor range. The Rifle Committee raised all the funds from donations so there was no cost to the club. We ended up building a 60' wide x 14' depth structure. This will allow shooting under cover from the 25 yard berm all the way out to 100 yards. The canopy is already getting great reviews from members who remember what it was like to shoot in the blazing hot sun of the Summer & those irritating drizzles of the Fall. We are hoping that the reduced snow pack will result in more members using the range through the Winter. If you haven't been out to the range in a while come on down & shoot. You won't have to stay home because of inclement weather any more. As always, obey the range rules, clean up your brass when finished & don't forget to sign in & out in the club.

INDOOR RANGE

The renovations to the indoor range are nearing completion. If you haven't been downstairs to the range in years stop down & check it out. Pictures posted below. In order to shoot in the indoor range all members must attend a short orientation to make sure the new procedures are known & to assure all members understand the safety rules inherent in using a range that is inside of an occupied building. After attending your card number will be added to the list of members authorized to use the range. You are also responsible for any guest you bring to the range & articulating our rules to them.
